The book (Thieves) is a true crime story about the actual safe robbery itself --- Trey's close friendship with Mike Murdock's son Jason, and the increasingly grim secret world of Mike Murdock himself. This ultimately leads to a man on the run in Mexico from a TV Pastor.
The book is a unique and rare look into the playboy lifestyles of "profit preaching" televangelism. Thieves is written in non-fiction narrative format --- so it reads like a novel.
Thieves contains language, brief sexual content, criminal situations.... and a TV pastor. It is a true story.

This was one of the original videos put together for Thieves: One dirty TV Pastor and the man who robbed him (True Story of the Mike Murdock Safe Robbery). Since the book was produced on a shoestring budget... most of its support was grassroots. The intent of this video was to do a parody interview between Mike Murdock (who would not respond to press for odvious reasons), Trey Smith and Benny Hinn. Ultimately the video may not have been as effective as hoped, comedy material from the starting gate not being the best match for the graphic nature & quite intense content of Thieves.
